We exist to help individuals—regardless of origin—reconnect with their roots, embrace their cultural identity, and take pride in who they are. While we place a special spotlight on the African diaspora, CHF welcomes and celebrates the rich diversity of all cultures and communities, wherever people may be.

Our Story
Cultural Hangout Festival (CHF) was born out of a simple yet powerful belief: everyone deserves to be proud of who they are and where they come from.
Amid growing identity struggles, cultural disconnection, and migration-related stigma, CHF emerged as a response—a cultural bridge, not just between continents, but between people and their roots. It began as a conversation about belonging and blossomed into a global platform where culture, migration, and heritage meet.
Founded by a team passionate about cultural preservation and migrant empowerment, CHF set out to create a space where the stories, expressions, and contributions of migrants could be celebrated, not overlooked. From its first gatherings to its growing international footprint, CHF has become a voice for migrants and a celebration of humanity’s shared cultural wealth.
