From Culture to Connection: Honouring Migrants, Celebrating Identity
Following the success of the maiden Cultural Hangout Festival held in London in May 2025, proudly endorsed by the African Union and attended by Africans in the diaspora, people of African descent, and lovers of African culture, CHF returns this December with a special indoor edition in Manchester to mark International Migrants Day.
This powerful one-day event will celebrate the resilience, identity, and contributions of migrant communities in Manchester, while fostering connection, pride, and intercultural dialogue.

- Live music, spoken word, dance, and traditional performances from migrant and local artists celebrating diverse cultures.
- Rights & Resilience Circle
- Free legal advice and migration help desks where migrants can get support on documentation, rights, and settling into life in the UK—all in a safe and welcoming space.
- Migrant Recognition Moment
- Honouring migrants and migrant-led organizations who are making outstanding contributions in Greater Manchester.
- Talk-to-Me Civic Dialogue (Morning Session)
- Interactive sessions with community leaders, embassies, creatives, and change-makers focused on migration policy, youth empowerment, and inclusion.
- Global Culture Pavilion (Indoor)
- Cultural exhibits, food, textiles, and storytelling from across the globe—hosted by diaspora communities in Manchester.
