The Cultural Hangout Festival 2025 is Nigeria’s flagship celebration of
International Migrants Day, a global observance held every December 18 to
recognize the invaluable contributions of migrants to host societies.
This year’s edition, proudly powered by the Platform for Cooperation on Mixed
Migration (PCMM) and co-organized by Africa Multicultural & Heritage Promotion Ltd
(AMHP), builds on the success of CHF London 2025—a landmark cultural event
endorsed by the African Union in commemoration of Africa Day. Now, CHF comes
home to Abuja, Nigeria, for three unforgettable days of cultural fusion, community
celebration, and migrant recognition.

What to Expect:

• National Community Tents: Each country will host an open cultural space
  showcasing traditional foods, art, and migration-related services.
• Interactive Dialogues & Storytelling: Embassy-led sessions on migration,
  diaspora trade, cultural identity, and inclusion.
• Migrant Excellence Awards Night: Honouring exceptional migrants
  contributing to Nigeria’s growth and development.
• Live Performances: Evening shows featuring music, spoken word, dance,
  and collaborative cultural acts.
• Children’s Corner: Traditional games, painting workshops, puzzle games
  and storytelling sessions.
• Festival Marketplace: A vibrant, migrant-centered space where products,
  services, and cultural goods created by migrant entrepreneurs and
  communities are showcased and sold.
